The Tier 400 TierGuide Cable is Southern Tier Technologies’ low inductance/low capacitance shielded cable assembly for jobs that require the lowest clamping voltage.

 

This TierGuide is specifically designed to reduce clamp voltages when using Southern Tier Technologies Tier 400 Surge Protection Devices.

 

The STT TierGuide Cable Assembly closely couples all phases and neutral. This design allows the magnetic fields of the supply feeds to cancel each other out, thus reducing added inductance that a typical wire-in conduit has.

 

Another key benefit achieved by the closely coupled phase and neutral wires is the reduction in overall capacitance. This can be especially beneficial if using intelligent home or business building solutions that use the power wires in the facility for communication purposes.

 

The TierGuide Cable is available in 10ft or 15ft lengths, each with 3ft pigtails, and in #10AWG or #6AWG.
