This is a double module unit designed for, and available in, high surge current capacities.

These modules can be replaced or upgraded without having to completely remove the wiring or enclosure. The terminal block models allow easy connection using #10awg to 2/0 wire. These are the perfect units for placement at the service equipment, or other conductive entries, to offer more and longer lasting protection of your facility.

 

Our Tier 400 series M3 Modular Terminal Block features the industry's most advanced metal oxide varistor (MOV) technology.

Its thermally protective, and arc extinguishing, design has a significant advantage when subjected to abnormal over-voltage and high fault current.

These robust modules have been lifecycle tested to 10,000 10kA impulses, per mode, with no failures or abnormal operation.

 

The multiple MOV technology allows for the continuation of protection even after a module failure (indicated by our dual color LEDs), giving critical time, under reduced protection, for a repair or replacement (This is covered by our 10 year warranty).

This makes these SPDs an ideal choice for any business that relies on microprocessor driven equipment.

 

This unit has a NEMA 4,12, &13 rated steel enclosure with mounting on the back of the enclosure, and is suitable for indoor and outdoor applications.

 

This modular SPD has models that range from 200kA to 300kA per mode.

 

You may select the UL 1449 location, we frequently see Type 1 or Type 2 orders for these units due to the likely placement at the service equipment. Type 1 units may be placed on the line or load side of the service equipment, but do not have EMI/RFI Filtering. Type 2 units may only be placed on the load side of the service equipment, but include EMI/RFI Filtering (If you are unsure of the UL 1449 selection you need, please contact us, we will be happy to help.)

 

All units come with form “C” remote contacts, two color LED indication, and an audible alarm. Surge counters are optional.
