Southern Tier Technologies walked away with $250,000 in The 76 West Clean Energy Competition after finishing 4th place out of 6 finalists. The company creates products helping to reduce carbon emissions and cut utility bill costs. They submitted their Dynamic Power Correction Unit, which helps reduce power usage.

 

"This is exciting because our product is ready to launch," said Southern Tier Technologies President, Dan Buchanan. "So this will allow us to buy additional materials that build extra units, along with building a manufacturing and sales course."

 

Not only that, but the unit also reduces 300 tons of CO2 each year. For the start-up company, they're thrilled for the award and looking forward to building their future.
