Our Tier 450 Series P3 Wire Lead is the largest SPD in our NEMA 4X Polycarbonate line in the Tier 400 Family. Its surge module is capable of the same surge current capacity as the larger M1 and M2 units. Its smaller size, indoor/outdoor rating, surge capacity ratings, and full set of status indication features make this unit extremely versatile and a great overall value if a steel enclosure or different connection method is not needed.

It features the industry's most advanced metal oxide varistor(MOV) technology.

Its thermally protective, and arc extinguishing, design has a significant advantage when subjected to abnormal over-voltage and high fault current.

 

The multiple MOV technology allows for the continuation of protection even after a module failure (indicated by our dual color LEDs), giving critical time, under reduced protection, for a repair or replacement (This is covered by our 10 year warranty).

This unit has a watertight NEMA 4X polycarbonate enclosure with integrated mounting brackets, and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications.

 

This non-Modular SPD has models that range from 50kA to 150kA per mode.

 

 You may select the UL 1449 location, Type 2 is the default, and most common selection. (If you are unsure of the UL 1449 selection you need, please contact us, we will be happy to help.)

 

All models have 5 feet of wire leads.

 

 All units come with form “C” remote contacts, two color LED indication, and an audible alarm. Surge counter is optional.
